Copeland hermetic reciprocating compressors are built for air-conditioning, heat pump and process cooling applications where energy efficiency, low noise and long-life are important. They are equipped with a noise muffler, are internally mounted on springs to reduce vibration, and are supplied with an integrated motor protector to enhance motor protection.

There are two families of Copeland hermetic compressors, the 2-cylinder CR series and the 4-cylinder QR series. Both product families are released for R22 and R134a, while CRs can also be applied with R407C.

All Copeland hermetic compressor models are designed for air-conditioning, heat pump and process cooling.
The evaporation temperature for CR and QR models range from +12.5 to -20°C.

QR models are also available in a tandem version. The compressors are mounted in pairs on the same base plate, linked via suction and discharge connection, and oil and gas equalisation lines.
The tandem assemblies are produced in 5 different sizes with cooling capacities ranging from 40 to 68 kW
